Getting Ready

Training starts at 9.30am, though it’s great if you can come 10-15 minutes earlier so you can grab a coffee and get settled in.  We normally finish around 5.30pm each afternoon.

We are on a number of bus routes, if you need to plan your journey, we recommend you try the Public Transport Journey Planner.

If you need accommodation, there are a number of places to stay locally including the Doncaster Night Cap, Mercure Doncaster and Elizabethan Lodge. Please see the below on how to book your accommodation and also take advantage of our special company rates as an AOPI traveller:

Please note that the Beau Monde International is another local accommodation however it is not recommended! From past student experience this hotel was very dirty, beds uncomfortable, bed bugs sighted and overall was not very welcoming to stay.

You will be provided with all your tools and manual at the start of your training.

Lunch

We provide fruit, nuts and biscuits for morning and afternoon tea.  You are required to either bring your own lunch to eat here, or there are a number of cafes a short drive away from our location if you wish to go out to eat. We have microwave facilities for heating food if you wish.

If you are doing our Colour training, we advise that you wear neutral coloured clothing as it makes it much easier when you are draping your clients as you won’t be distracted by what you’re wearing in the mirror.

Please arrange people to be your practice ‘clients’ for colour draping. You will need a person for each of the times and days listed on the schedule (click on the red button below to access the Client Colour Draping Schedule).
