How do I receive my online lessons?
Your lessons will be available on this website with your unique login which after you’ve registered and paid you will receive a password to enter with. You can enter and download your lessons all at once or as you work through them.
What order should I do my lessons in?
It is recommended that you work in the order that the lessons are written as each lesson will build on the information in the lesson before and the assignments are written to ensure you are also building on your knowledge.
How many lessons are in each course?
Personal Stylist and Image Mastery for Women contains 32 Lessons
Personal Stylist and Image Mastery for Men contains 12 Lessons (the Women’s Style course is a pre-requisite)
Personal Colour Analysis Theory contains 14 Lessons – we also provide a 3 day Practical training for those who want to learn how to drape
Do I have to send you the answers to the questions within each lesson?
No each lesson has a series of self assessing questions which are designed to have you think about what is discussed within the lesson and how it applies to you personally. But we do have assignments which you are required to submit throughout the course.
How should I set up my work notes?
There a number of ways you can save the information from this course.
You may elect to save it electronically and keep all of your notes in a file on your computer.
A notebook is another method to tracking your progress. Each lesson will be either asking you to write notes or to find images that support the concepts and ideas that you’ll be learning. You can use the notebook to keep all of your findings together.
A final solution is to print out the lessons onto single sided sheets of paper. Utilise the facing page to place any notes and examples you find as you work through each new lesson. Keep these notes together in a binder for safety and future referral.
How long do I have to complete the course?
We recommend you complete the course within six months. If you take much longer then the learning will become diluted and you will not progress as confidently. You’ll have six months from enrolment to complete this course. Assignments received after the six month anniversary from enrolling will not be graded unless you apply for an extension. Extensions can be granted upon request.
While you may read the lessons in any order the course has been specifically designed so that each lesson will build up on the information from the previous lessons. I would recommend you have a look at the course content and lesson outlines that accompany these notes to see when the assignments will be coming up with in the course.

How do I send my assignments?
Every time you add an assignment to your AoPI Dropbox ensure you have your name, email address and phone number
We will set up an AoPI Dropbox for you to upload all your assignments so there is no need for postage or emailing of assignments. We can then put comments on your assignments for you to refer back to.
How are my assignments marked?
Your assignments will be either marked a pass or fail. If you fail an assignment you’ll be asked to complete the assignment again. Comments will be made to help you understand what you may have missed and add some clarity or understanding of a point.
It is recommended that you do not start on your next lesson until you have successfully completed each assignment.
Do I get support? What are the support training Skype Calls?
As part of your course you will have the opportunity for a 30 minutes Skype call with your trainer after each assignment. There is another phone call that will be made after your 32nd lesson and before you commence your final assignment.
You’ll need to make an appointment and schedule a time for these calls. Your appointment for your call should be made at least three days in advance to allow us the best opportunity to make the call at a time which suits everyone.
Calls can be made via skype to your trainer who will then have the ability to use video conferencing so that you can see anything which you may be discussing. You will be able to see your trainer as they make comments and give directions as they answers your questions.
Can I ask questions?
As with all of our courses we are constantly upgrading and re-evaluating the information within to make sure we present the best possible information for you to learn from. While there are only a number of skype calls in your training there’s no limit to the e-mail contact you can have with your instructor during your instruction. Should you be confused by anything and require further information please do not hesitate to e-mail us.
You may select to sit the Personal Stylist and Image Mastery for Men course. Once you have completed this course you will have all of the information to go out and start consulting in style straightaway. If you wish to continue your studies and attend a Certified Personal Colour Analysis Practical course please contact us and we will let you know when the next course is going to be available to you. What if the course is not for me?
If you are concerned then start with the two complimentary lessons. Once you have enrolled and received your log-in you will have full access to the course and all of the intellectual property within it. It is for this reason that once you have enrolled refunds are not given.
Do I have to pay to do the first two lessons?
No you can start them straight away without paying any fees to see if you are interested in the information contained within them.
Will you be offering colour consulting as an online course?
At this stage we cannot see how you can effectively learn how to drape a client and recognise their personal colouring through this medium. We have a part online part classroom tutorial that will shorten the length of time you have to spend in the classroom. Until we are convinced that what you will learn online is equivalent to an in classroom education the draping element of colour analysis will not be offered in our distance learning program.

Are you an accredited Academy?
The Academy of Professional Image has all of its courses recognised by the AICI – Association of Image Consultants International . Each hour of training program = 0.1 AICI CEUs – so 4.0 CEUs is a 40 hour course.
Personal Stylist and Image Mastery for Women – distance learning course is certified for 4.0 AICI CEUs
Certified Personal Analysis Colour Theory – distance learning course is certified for 1.5 AICI CEUs
Personal Stylist and Image Mastery for Men – distance learning course is certified for .9 AICI CEUs
How do I receive my CEU’s (continuing education units)?
To receive the continuing education units you will have to fill out an additional form which you will receive when you finish the course. This form has to be filled in and returned to the Academy of Professional Image where we will submit it for you. If you are a member of the AICI your CEU credits will automatically be registered against your member name. If you are not an AICI member or you wish to receive a copy of your certificate you will be required to pay an additional $50.00 to cover registration and postage.
Do I have to become a member of the AICI?
No you do not. Membership with the Association of Image Consultants International is strictly up to you. It is recommended however if you are serious about growing your business. This association has chapters all over the world and is the fastest growing association for image consultants in the world. Membership will open the door to you for many other channels of information and education. It is a marvellous place to network with like minded individuals.
