Tell us what you did before image consultancy?
Before Color Analysis, I owned a womens clothing shop and was doing Interior design.
What made you choose to become an image consultant? What drew you to it?
I became a single mom and my whole world changed. I was navigating a lot of difficulties and one of the main issues I had to deal with was my self image and confidence (or lack of it). Because I had a daughter, I knew I had to do better and be better for her.
Color analysis was the starting point to helping me truly accept myself. It allowed me to build the image I wanted. Because of color & style, and learning to work with my natural design, I grew so much; not just in confidence but really as a person.
Then I realized if I could rebuild myself from the ground up, I could help so many women do the same. It suddenly felt like I was called on a mission to help rebuild other women. To help them believe that they are worthy and beautiful regardless of what the world tells them or regardless of what has happened to them. It’s never too late to be who you want to be. I chose to be an image consultant to help give back confidence to women because they are the only ones who get to decide who they want to be and how they show up in the world.
What made you decide that it was time to do your training and take up this new career?
When color analysis got popular on social media, I was obsessed with it. But I didn’t have the money at the time to spend on getting professionally analysed. So I tried to do it myself. but the more i researched the more I wanted to dive deep. and I thought to myself maybe i should just get certified. If it fails as a business at least I learned something for myself and have knowledge to pass on to my daughter.
What are you passionate about?
I’m passionate about helping people. Making a difference. I just truly want to leave this world better than when I started.
Who do you most enjoy working with? How do you love to help them?
I love working with people from all walks of life. But my favorite clients by far have normally been my elderly clients trying to feel beautiful again or moms trying to feel like themselves again. and women trying to build their image because these are all things that got me into the image consulting world. It’s all something I’ve personally gone through and have seen how powerful color and style can be in this process. The one thing I love helping people see is that they are beautiful. Fashion and trends have a way of making us feel “unbeautiful” but that’s just because those specific trends may not have been for us. So I love helping people read themselves and see how everything they need is already within them; they already have the blueprint and I’m just there to guide them, connect the dots, and show them how wonderful and beautiful they have been all along.
How does having a good image help people in their lives?
In so many ways. I always say “when you look good, you feel good. When you feel good, you do good.” Having a good image connects and overflows into every other aspect of life. Personally, I have made so many questionable choices and I see now that it’s all because I was coming from a place of very poor self confidence. As soon as I understood myself, fixed my self image, my whole life changed. I opened up and the world opened up to me.
How can you help people create a more impactful and relevant image for themselves?
I can help people create a more impactful image because I understand what it feels like to have none. And i’ve used image consulting to rebuild my life. I can help people because I understand the realities. i’m not someone who was naturally born with all the confidence or an amazing sense of style. Everything I learned, i applied. So i teach people not just from theory but from actual experience. I know its not just about finding the right colors and the right styles. Its about understanding the person first. What are their goals. who they want to be. how they want to be perceived. and from there everything should harmonize together to portray the person they truly want to be.
Anything else you’d like to tell us?
I’m just truly grateful to have found something i’m passionate about. where I can earn and help at the same time.
and Im glad I found you because reading your posts feels very similar to the way I want to approach things.
And im grateful that I still have guidance along the way.
