Tell us what you did before image consultancy?
I was a professional musician, playing the oboe with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.
What made you choose to become an image consultant? What drew you to it?
I have always loved wearing colour and expressing myself through style choices. Realising the difference it made to the way I felt, I wanted to be able to help people feel happier and have a healthier self image. I also love the idea of 1:1 appointments, where you can really invest in someone and make a real difference.
What made you decide that it was time to do your training and take up this new career?
I suppose that the passion for colour and style just took over, really. I had gotten to a stage in my career as a musician, where I was well accomplished, and it was no longer challenging me the way it once did. Being an image consultant really challenges me to work with each client individually and find solutions to their needs. It’s so incredibly rewarding when you see the difference it makes to people’s self-confidence.
What are you passionate about?
Colour is my true passion. I’m also incredibly passionate about empowering people with confidence and the skills they need to make great styling and colour choices for the future.
Who do you most enjoy working with? How do you love to help them?
I love working with open-minded individuals ready to embrace change. I love helping clients transform their style and discover the colours that make them shine.
How does having a good image help people in their lives?
It’s an incredibly important and powerful tool in so many ways. Having a strong personal image can boost confidence, enhance first impressions, and open doors to new opportunities in both personal and professional life.
How can you help people create a more impactful and relevant image for themselves?
I always align a client’s personal style with their goals, refining their wardrobe to reflect their personality and aspirations, and teaching them how to use colour and fit to enhance their presence.
