Sold international travel for 20 years before doing and winery administrator
What made you choose to become an image consultant? What drew you to it?
I’ve always had a love of fashion and putting together outfits but couldn’t understand why some things looked better than others. After learning about colour, proportions and different body shapes I want to help other women understand more about what we wear and how we wear it so we can feel our best every day. Taking the guesswork out of dressing, has been a game changer for me, I understand more about my body and style than I ever did and now have the confidence to dress for me and feel great about it. I’d like to work with others to ensure they feel the same.
What made you decide that it was time to do your training and take up this new career?
I would often help my friends with their shopping and was told I had a natural flair for putting outfits together, so in June 2021 undertook a 2 day taster course which I loved and decided to follow that up with indepth training at AOPI.
What are you passionate about?
Showing people they don’t have to wear black to look slim and stylish. There is a world of colour that awaits them! I love the idea of storytelling in an outfit and understanding the signals we are giving off by what we are wearing.
Who do you most enjoy working with? How do you love to help them?
Women who have put everyone else before themselves and now the time has come for them to rediscover their style. There is nothing more rewarding than watching someone look at themselves in the mirror and watch their body language change and their eyes sparkle when you put them in a great outfit and they love what they see.
How does having a good image help people in their lives?
If you look good, you feel good. You have a more positive and confident disposition when you are wearing something that looks and feels like you. Just by changing your outfit
How can you help people create a more impactful and relevant image for themselves?
My goal is to help women build a sustainable and authentic wardrobe that they love and feel good in no matter their budget, body shape or size. If someone is wearing outfits in “their” colours in a style that truely reflects themselves and their personality confidence their radiance will shine. Life is too short to wear boring clothes and I want all women to feel fabulous every time they get dressed.
