Tell us what you did before image consultancy?
Before image consultancy I had a diverse background in community service, and sales. I have written for ‘the bulletin’ in their weekend magazine, was publisher and writer in the arts magazine ‘mayhem magazine’ and have spent the past five years looking after my small children.

What made you choose to become an image consultant? What drew you to it?
I have absolutely loved colour analysis for many years before deciding to study it myself. I both wanted to type myself whilst deep diving in to colour theory, colour psychological and learning how to type others- I noticed lots of incongruency in the industry and wanted to find a system that would allow all people to be types with accuracy, consistency and not fall through the cracks- so to speak.

I wanted to train with Imogen because she’s the best in the field and I saw too many courses that were purely online. Imogen was set apart by not only her years of experience but her intensive in person training in addition to online training.

What made you decide that it was time to do your training and take up this new career?
I wanted to start working my own hours as my children are still very small and so being able to create my own schedule is very important. In addition- this is simply such a passion of mine! – it’s so hard for me to see people and not be thinking of colour analysis – I really think everyone is beautiful because everyone has a beautiful palette naturally they just need to know how to work with their intrinsic beauty.

What are you passionate about?
I’m passionate about colour analysis, interior design and mood boards for interior design, colour psychology and how it impacts us in our clothing and homes as well as simply being a good mum and cooking delicious, nourishing meals for my family- a quintessential homebody that sees beauty in the ordinary.

Who do you most enjoy working with? How do you love to help them?
I’ve worked a lot with women my age and above, but eventually I’d like to forge my own path with a YouTube channel that talks about colour psychology, colour palettes in interior design and blowing the lid off the whole colour analysis industry to help people make sense of what is and isn’t true within the field -creating more clarity within the space and highlighting truth and exposing fallacies is important to me.

How does having a good image help people in their lives?
Having a good self image and a home with colours curated to work with your desired psychological outcomes is foundational in curating a self image and home that brings out your best- not just physically but in how it effects your mood, energy and self perception. I think there’s something wonderful and magic about helping people realise their inherent natural beauty as well.
