Tell us what you did before image consultancy?

Before moving into image consultancy, much of my life was centred around raising and homeschooling my children. Alongside that, I was always learning and exploring areas I was naturally drawn to, photography, makeup artistry, health, fitness, and the way our outward presentation can influence how we feel about ourselves.

Creativity has always been part of who I am, so image consultancy eventually felt like a very natural place for all of those interests to come together.

What made you choose to become an image consultant? What drew you to it?

I’ve always been fascinated by the connection between appearance and confidence.

What drew me to image consultancy was that it goes much deeper than simply telling somebody what colours to wear or what clothes to buy. It combines colour, proportion, personality, lifestyle and personal expression.

I loved the idea of giving someone the knowledge to understand why something works for them, rather than simply giving them rules to follow.

What made you decide that it was time to do your training and take up this new career?

I reached a point where I wanted to turn something I had been naturally interested in for years into something meaningful and professionally grounded.

Training gave me the technical knowledge behind colour and style and allowed me to combine that with my creative background and my own way of working with people.

It felt less like choosing an entirely new direction and more like finally giving structure to something that had been developing for a long time.

What are you passionate about?

I’m passionate about helping women see themselves more clearly.

There is so much pressure to look like someone else, follow trends or constantly change ourselves. I’m far more interested in helping a woman understand what is already uniquely her, her colouring, proportions, personality and presence, and teaching her how to work with it.

For me, confidence without comparison is incredibly powerful.

Who do you most enjoy working with? How do you love to help them?

I particularly love working with women who feel as though they have lost their sense of style, become overwhelmed by choice, or simply know something isn’t quite working anymore but don’t know why.

I love that moment when things begin to make sense for them, when they understand their colours, recognise their personal style and begin seeing possibilities rather than flaws.

My aim is never to turn somebody into someone different. It is to give them the knowledge and confidence to become more intentional about the person they already are.

How does having a good image help people in their lives?

I think a good image creates ease.

When you understand what suits you, you spend less time second-guessing yourself. Getting dressed becomes easier, shopping becomes more intentional and you stop accumulating things that never quite feel right.

It can also change the way you carry yourself. When what you wear feels aligned with who you are, there is a quiet confidence that comes with it.

A good image isn’t about perfection. It is about having the outside reflect the person on the inside.

How can you help people create a more impactful and relevant image for themselves?

I start with the individual rather than a formula.

I look at colour, personal style, lifestyle, personality, preferences, aspirations and what the client actually needs from their wardrobe. From there, we can create an image that feels polished and intentional while still feeling completely authentic.

Through colour analysis and personal style consultation, I give clients practical tools they can continue using long after their appointment. The goal is not dependence on a consultant; it is understanding yourself well enough to make confident decisions independently.

Anything else you’d like to tell us?

Empower Studio was created around the idea that refinement is intentional.

I wanted to create a calm, personal experience where women could step away from trends, comparison and outside opinions for a moment and simply discover what works for them.

I believe some of the most powerful transformations are actually very subtle. You don’t need to become somebody new, sometimes you simply need to understand yourself better. I thoroughly believe confidence has no age limit.
